さらに200種へ「生息イメージ」のイラストを追加しました（合計894種）
魚図鑑のイラストは、種によって「白背景版」と「生息イメージ版」の2枚を用意しています。前回の200種に続いて、今回はさらに200種に生息イメージ版を追加しました。2枚立てになった種は合計894種です。収録種数は約2,940種のままで、種の追加はありません。
アプリの魚図鑑での表示イメージ。日本語・英語どちらの表示にも対応しています。イラストは左右にスワイプ（Web版はイラスト下の左右ボタン）で白背景版と切り替えられます。生息イメージ版がまだ用意できていない種は、これまでどおり白背景版の1枚だけを表示します。
今回は「図鑑を開いて調べたくなる魚」へ
1回目は日本の定番魚、2回目は世界のビッグゲームを優先しました。3回目の今回は、釣れたときに「これは何だろう」と図鑑を開く魚に軸足を移しています。よく似た仲間が並ぶタナゴやイワナ、カレイやフグ、ニベの仲間。地域ごとに姿が違う海外の淡水魚。そして名前は知らなくてもサンゴ礁で必ず目にする小魚たち。白背景の1枚では「どこにいる魚なのか」が伝わりにくい種ほど、生息イメージ版の効きめが大きいと考えています。
今回追加したおもな種
- 日本・東アジアの定番釣魚／食用魚（50種） — ハガツオ・マルアジ・ムロアジ・メアジ・カイワリ・イラ・オニカサゴ・オオサガ・キビナゴ・サッパ、サメガレイ・ヒレグロ・クロガシラガレイ・ナガレメイタガレイといったカレイの仲間、ヒガンフグ・コモンフグ・ゴマフグ・ナシフグなどフグの仲間、クログチ・ホンニベ・キグチ・コイチなどニベの仲間。淡水ではヤリタナゴ・カネヒラ・アブラボテ・シロヒレタビラ・イチモンジタナゴのタナゴ類、ゴギ・ヤマトイワナ・ニッコウイワナといったイワナの地域型、ホンモロコ・ハス・カマツカ・ギギ・ギバチなど。

あわせて、和名を1件是正しました
Urogymnus granulatus の和名を「マングローブエイ」から「オジロエイ」へ改めました。もとの名前は英名 Mangrove Whipray をカタカナに写したもので、国内で通用しているのはオジロエイのほうだったためです。名前を変えた種は解説文も作り直しています。

Encyclopedia illustrations come in two versions — a plain one and an in-habitat one. Following the previous 200 species, this update adds in-habitat artwork for 200 more. 894 species now have both. No species were added — the encyclopedia still covers about 2,940.

This time: the fish you actually open the encyclopedia for
The first batch went to Japan's mainstay species, the second to the world's big game. This third one shifts to the fish you look up because you are not sure what you just caught — bitterlings and regional charr, flounders, puffers and croakers, all of which come in confusingly similar sets. Freshwater fish from abroad whose appearance changes from river to river. And the small reef fish everyone has seen without knowing the name. The plain illustration is weakest at showing where an animal lives, which is exactly what these species need.
What this update covers
- Everyday sport and food fish of Japan and East Asia (50) — Striped bonito, Japanese scad, Amberstripe scad, Bigeye scad, Whitefin trevally, Scarbreast tuskfish, Angry rockfish, Longspine thornyhead and Silver-stripe round herring; the flounders Roughskin sole, Korean flounder, Cresthead flounder and Frog flounder; the puffers Panther puffer, Finepatterned puffer, Spotback and Pear puffer; and the croakers Black croaker, Brown croaker, Redlip croaker and Yellow drum. In fresh water: the bitterlings Slender bitterling, Kanehira bitterling, Oily bitterling, Whitefin bitterling and Striped bitterling, three regional forms of white-spotted charr, plus Willow gudgeon, Three-lips, Pike gudgeon and two bagrid catfishes.
- Freshwater sport fish and oddities of the world (40) — Rainbow snakehead, Golden cobra snakehead, Marulioides snakehead, Dwarf snakehead and Chinafish; Royal peacock bass and Xingu peacock bass; Sailfin pim, Paraná pacu, Aucha perch, Brook trout, American eel, Longfinned eel, Arctic grayling, Yellow perch and Pumpkinseed. The sturgeons Lake sturgeon, Atlantic sturgeon and European sturgeon, and the trout Cutthroat trout, California golden trout and Marble trout, are here too.
- Game fish and large species worldwide (35) — Indo-Pacific tarpon, Rainbow runner, Black Jack, Brassy Jack, Blacktip kingfish, Serra Spanish mackerel, Patagonian toothfish, Fourfinger threadfin, Pickhandle barracuda, Blackfin barracuda and Oilfish; plus Crevalle jack, Horse-eye jack, Florida pompano, Palometa, Indian threadfish, Silver trevally, Atlantic bonito, Little tunny, Black drum, Spotted seatrout, Meagre, White seabass, Australasian snapper and Hapuku.
- Squid, octopus, crustaceans and shellfish (30) — Botan shrimp, Coonstripe shrimp, Japanese glass shrimp, Japanese lobster, Japanese fan lobster and three spiny lobsters; Red snow crab, Bairdi crab, Brown king crab, Blue king crab, Spanner crab and Green mud crab; Madaka abalone, Giant abalone and Blackfoot paua; and Neon flying squid, Japanese squid, Kisslip cuttlefish, European squid, Humboldt squid, Day octopus and Chestnut octopus.
- Reef, aquarium and ornamental fish (25) — Bluestreak Cleaner Wrasse; six butterflyfishes including the Halfmoon Butterflyfish and Maypole Butterflyfish; four triggerfishes; the surgeonfishes Bluespine unicornfish, Banded Surgeon and Blue-lined Tang; Rusty Angelfish, Yellowbar angelfish and Bannerfish; and two porcupinefishes.
- Sharks and rays (20) — Copper Shark, Bignose Shark, Pigeye Shark, Spottail Shark, Milk Shark, Spadenose shark and Gummy shark; Ocellated Eagle Ray, Japanese Eagle Ray, Blotched Fantail Ray, Smooth Stingray, Pelagic Stingray, Porcupine ray, Leopard Whipray and Coach Whipray. As before, drawn as animals going about their lives, not as monsters.
One Japanese name corrected
The Japanese name of Urogymnus granulatus has been changed from a katakana transcription of "Mangrove Whipray" to オジロエイ, the name actually used in Japan. Its description has been rewritten to match.
