魚図鑑に「分布域」「美味しさ」「分布マップ」を追加しました
魚図鑑の各魚種のページに、新しく3つの情報を追加しました。「その魚がどこにいて、どれくらい美味しいのか」が、ひと目で分かるようになります。
追加した3つの情報
- 分布域 — 「北西太平洋の日本周辺から東シナ海」のように、その魚が生息する海域・地域を文章で紹介します。
- 美味しさ — 食味の一般的な評判を★5段階で表示します。フグのように扱いに専門知識が要る魚は「要専門調理」と表示します。
- 分布マップ — 魚種名の右にある「分布マップ」ボタンをタップすると、世界地図が開き、その魚が実際に記録されている海域が色付きで表示されます。
アプリでの表示イメージ。日本語・英語どちらの表示にも対応しています。
分布マップについて
分布マップは、世界中の生物多様性データを集約する GBIF の出現記録をもとに、5度四方のメッシュで「その魚が記録されている海域」を示しています。世界地図の陸地には Natural Earth のデータを使用しています。あくまで分布のおおよその目安であり、記録が少ない海域では実際の生息範囲より狭く表示されることがあります。
ご注意
- 「美味しさ」は食味の一般的な評判であり、安全に食べられるという判定ではありません。毒の有無とも別の情報です。毒の有無・食用の可否は、安全のため必ず実物・専門家でご確認ください。
- 分布域の文章は AI による下書きを含み、順次見直しを進めています。
- 情報が整っていない魚種では、これらの項目は表示されません。順次追加してまいります。
- 分布データの出典は GBIF、世界地図は Natural Earth（パブリックドメイン）です。図鑑のイラストの著作権は世界釣りマップに帰属します。無断転載・二次利用はご遠慮ください。
Every species page in the Fish Encyclopedia now shows three new pieces of information, so you can see at a glance where a fish lives and how well-regarded it is as food.
What's new
- Distribution — a short description of where the species lives, such as "the northwestern Pacific from around Japan to the East China Sea".
- Culinary rating — a five-star rating reflecting the species' general reputation as food. Species that need specialist handling, such as pufferfish, are marked "Specialist prep".
- Range map — tap the "Range map" button next to the species name to open a world map showing the waters where the species has actually been recorded.
How these look in the app — available in both Japanese and English.
About the range map
The range map is built from occurrence records published by GBIF, aggregated into a five-degree grid to show the waters where a species has been recorded. The world map itself uses Natural Earth data. It is an approximate guide only — in regions with few records, the mapped range may appear smaller than the species' true range.
Notes
- The culinary rating reflects a general reputation of taste — it is not a judgement that a fish is safe to eat, and it is separate from venom information. For safety, always confirm venomousness and edibility with the real specimen or an expert.
- Distribution notes include AI-generated drafts that we are reviewing over time.
- These fields are hidden for species where the information is not yet available. We are filling them in progressively.
