魚図鑑を約2,400種に拡充しました
魚図鑑に新たに97種を追加し、収録数が合計約2,400種になりました。今回は、北太平洋の深海性/沿岸魚介類から、東南アジアの淡水魚、南アフリカの固有魚介類、南米アマゾン水系の淡水魚、ニュージーランド/オーストラリアの沿岸魚介類まで、世界各地の個性豊かな仲間を描き下ろしています。

新たに加わったおもな仲間
- 世界最大の硬骨魚 — マンボウの仲間の中でもひときわ大きく育つ「ウシマンボウ」。近年の研究で独立した種として広く認知されるようになった、まさに海の巨人です。
- 深海の怪魚 — 強烈な引きで深海釣り師を魅了する「アブラボウズ」など、北太平洋の深海に潜む個性的な魚たち。
- メコン川の巨大魚 — タイ・メコン川流域の絶滅危惧種「ジャイアントバルブ」など、東南アジアの淡水域に生きる希少な仲間。
- 世界各地の沿岸魚介類 — ニュージーランドのマオリダコ、南アフリカの固有シクリッド、南米アマゾンの巨大ピラニア「ピラーヤ」まで、幅広い海域・水域の魚介類を収載。

We have added 97 more species to the Fish Encyclopedia, bringing the total to about 2,400 species. This update spans deep-sea and coastal fish from the North Pacific, freshwater fish from Southeast Asia, endemic species from South Africa, freshwater fish from the Amazon basin in South America, and coastal species from New Zealand and Australia — each illustrated one by one.

What's new
- The world's largest bony fish — the Giant sunfish, a true giant of the ocean now widely recognized by recent research as a species distinct from the common ocean sunfish.
- Deep-sea heavyweights — the Skilfish, prized by deep-sea anglers for its powerful fight, and other distinctive fish from the depths of the North Pacific.
- A Mekong River giant — the critically endangered Jullien's golden carp from Thailand's Mekong basin, among other rare Southeast Asian freshwater species.
- Coastal species from around the world — New Zealand's Maori octopus, endemic cichlids from South Africa, and the powerful Piraya piranha from the Amazon.
