魚図鑑を約1,900種に拡充しました
魚図鑑にさらに約300種を新たに追加し、収録数が合計約1,900種になりました。今回は日本近海でおなじみのメバル・カジカ・カレイの仲間や、渓流魚（イワナ・アマゴ）の希少な地域亜種を中心に、北米・南米・アフリカの淡水魚や世界各地の甲殻類・頭足類まで、オリジナルのイラストを一点ずつ描き下ろしています。

新たに加わったおもな仲間
- 日本近海の身近な魚たち — メバル科（アコウダイ・クロメヌケ・オオサガなど深海性の高級メバルを含む）、カジカ科、ホウボウ科、カレイ・ヒラメの仲間。
- 渓流魚の希少な地域亜種 — イワナ（ゴギ・ニッコウイワナ・ヤマトイワナ）、アマゴ、リュウキュウアユなど。
- 北米・南米の淡水魚 — レイクスタージョン等のチョウザメ類、サッカー（吸盤状の口を持つコイ目）、南米のドラド近縁種やパクーなど。
- 甲殻類・頭足類 — ケガニ・ズワイガニの仲間、イイダコ・ケンサキイカなど。

We have added about 300 more species to the Fish Encyclopedia, bringing the total to about 1,900 species. This round focuses on familiar Japanese coastal fish — rockfishes, sculpins, and flatfishes — along with rare regional subspecies of stream-dwelling char and trout, plus freshwater fish from North and South America and Africa, and crustaceans and cephalopods from around the world, each with an original illustration drawn one by one.

What's new
- Familiar fish from Japan's coastal waters — rockfishes (including prized deep-sea species), sculpins, searobins, and flounders/flatfishes.
- Rare regional subspecies of stream fish — char (Gogi, Nikko iwana, Yamato iwana), Amago trout, Ryukyu ayu, and more.
- Freshwater fish of North and South America — lake sturgeon and other sturgeons, suckers, and South American dorado relatives and pacu.
- Crustaceans and cephalopods — horsehair and snow crabs, octopuses, and squids.
