killing batteries

Hi all,

I have a 80 series cruiser with dual batteries (Exide extreme N70EX) One hooked to fridge only, other runs accessories brigded by a "Smart Switch". I do about one hour of travel on the highway everyday but still seem to kill the fridge battery, I know these are a crank batteries, but can somebody recomend a good deep cycle battery to run my fridge on? Will this be my best option?
Cheers Jono.

I ran duel batteries in my 50 series years ago to run my winch and fridge while travelling around OZ . Both were crank batteries and I went thru 3 batteries in 6 months. I ended up tossing the smart changer and fitted 2 bigger batteries with a manual switch(like used in a boat) then ran car, fridge and winch off one battery.
But as I said that was years ago !!!

cheers

I am about to re-wire my GU Patrol with a new "Red-Arc" Smart Solenoid because the old setup done by the previous owner is unreliable!
